Recently I have been working on the original finds dug up in the 1860s at Chedworth Roman Villa, many of the objects in the museum cupboards needed to be cleaned and reboxed. I found some lovely painted plaster from the walls of the rooms in the villa, and once cleaned the amazing colours and patterns came to life. There is some surviving wall plaster still on the walls of the villa, in the bath house, images of probably reeds can be seen in the plunge bath. I wonder what the next box will reveal!
